Experience the famous sights of the Golden Circle on a day tour (included in the price). Hike through the Geysers area and marvel at the mighty Gullfoss waterfall. The hike through Thingvellir National Park completes this fantastic trip. In the evening you can take a breathtaking Northern Lights boat tour and with a little luck, you can see the Northern Lights swirling in a wild and carefree dance across the sky in dramatic shapes, colors, patterns, and sizes.
From Keflavik Airport there is a shuttle transfer into the city and to your hotel in Reykjavik. Depending on your flight we can arrange for you to go whale watching or join a guided food walk. The food walk is a great way to not just eat delicious delicacies, but also to see the city and get a good overview of where things are.
During the day stroll through the streets of Reykjavik or head for the unique Blue Lagoon spa experience, enjoy the south shore adventure, or hike on a glacier!
In the evening you will go on a Northern Lights boat tour from Reykjavik's old harbour. On a clear night, you may be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights swirling in a wild and carefree dance across the sky in dramatic shapes, colors, patterns, and sizes. (We cannot guarantee sightings even if the tour is operated. In these cases we offer our customers a second tour free of charge).
Today you will visit the famous sights on the Golden Circle route. On the Golden Circle Gullfoss-Geysir tour, you can walk around the world-famous Geysir geothermal area, a geothermal field where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode, and pools of mud bubbles. One of the Golden Circle’s many highlights is the Gullfoss waterfall, the queen of Iceland‘s waterfalls. The tour ends with the no less spectacular Thingvellir National Park. This is the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. The Great Atlantic Rift is clearly visible, a rift that is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates.
After an impressive and memorable trip to Iceland, it is time to leave. Shuttle transfer from your hotel in Reykjavik to Keflavik airport for your flight home! Depending on your flight you might visit the Blue Lagoon on your way to the airport.
